Mary M. Lofland of Kennett Square
Mary M. Lofland, 103, of Kennett Square, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2006, at Jennersville Regional Hospital. She was the wife of Carl W. Lofland D.D.S., who passed away in 1964, and with whom she shared 37 years of marriage.
Born in Upland, Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John W. and Caroline Evans Merryman.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square, Kennett Life Center, Garden Club of Kennett Square, a Charter Member of the former Kennett Square chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star,
American Legion Auxiliary, Kennett Fire Company No. 1 Auxiliary, and the former Kennett New Century Club.
She is survived by one son, C. Wendell Lofland, D.D.S. and his wife, Marilyn, of Kennett Square; two grandchildren, Marcia L. Jorgensen of Wilmington, Del., and Rex H. Lofland of Dallas, Texas; and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one sister, Anna T. Merryman.
Service and burial will be private.
